Born on 19 January 1992, he studied with Jiae Kim and Kyeong Seun Pee at the School of Performing Arts in Seoul, with Arnulf von Arnim at the Folkwang University of Arts in Essen. Since 2012 he has been a student of Arie Vardi at Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media and also International Piano Academy Lake Como. He has won the ARD International Music Competition in Munich (in which he also received special prizes, 2014), the Seoul International Competition and the Klavierolymp in Bad Kissingen (where he was also honoured with the audience prize, 2013). He is also a Prizewinner of the Gina Bachauer Competition in Salt Lake City (2014), the Beethoven competitions in Vienna (2009) and Bonn (2011) and the Schubert Competition in Dortmund (2011). He has performed in major cities such as Vienna, Munich, Zurich, St. Petersburg, Seoul, Tokyo and Beijing on many famous concert platforms, including the Musikverein in Vienna, the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Tonhalle in Zurich, Seoul Arts Center and the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, appearing with the Bavarian and Austrian radio orchestras, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and other philharmonic orchestras of Korea, Germany, France and USA.
