Born on 17 July 1989, in Lanaudière, he studied with Paul Surdulescu, Sara Laimon, Boris Berman, André Laplante and Jean Saulnier. He gained his bachelor’s degree at McGill University in 2011 and his master’s at Yale School of Music in 2013, receiving full scholarships at both institutions. He has won Second Prize in the Montreal International Musical Competition and Third Prize and a special award for the best performance of a Beethoven sonata in the Seoul International Music Competition. In April 2015, he won the prestigious Career Development Award offered by the Women’s Musical Club of Toronto. As a soloist, he has performed with the Montreal, Toronto and Korean symphony orchestras, the Orchestre Métropolitain and I Musici de Montréal. Since 2014, he has been a member of the celebrated Trio Hochelaga. He has performed in many major festivals in Canada (Lanaudière, Orford, Ottawa Chamberfest, Montreal Chamber Music Festival and Domaine Forget). His debut solo CD featuring late works by Chopin was released in 2015 on the Analekta label.
