Born on 8 July 1991. In 2007, he completed Yewon Arts School, and three years later Seoul Arts High School. In 2010, he entered the Korea National University of Arts (KNUA) in Seoul, in the piano class of Chong-Pil Lim and Eun-Jung Shon. He is now studying with Arnulf von Arnim at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. He has won prizes in competitions run by the publishers of Korea’s two biggest newspapers, Dong-A and Joong-Ang, in Seoul. Last year, he came third in the Geneva International Music Competition (2014). His greatest successes include victory and a special prize in the 11th edition of the Isang Yun International Competition in Tongyeong (2013) and third place in the 6th China International Piano Competition. He has given recitals in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, China and Korea. He has performed with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and the Macau Orchestra, and in Korea with the Changwon, Wonju and Seoul philharmonic orchestras, KNUA and Korean symphony orchestras and Seoul Youth Orchestra.
