Born on 23 May 1994, in Singapore, she studied with Alan Chow, Micah Yui and Emilia del Rosario at the Chicago Institute of Music. She is currently preparing her bachelor’s degree at the Curtis Institute of Music, under the guidance of Robert McDonald. She has won prizes in the 3rd Asia-Pacific International Chopin Piano Competition, competitions in Montreal, at the Eastman School of Music, at Hilton Head, the Thomas and Evon Cooper in Oberlin, in New York, the International Piano Teachers Association Competition and the Louisiana International Competition. Twice a recipient of a grant from the American Chopin Foundation (2011 and 2012), she has given recitals in New York (incl. Carnegie Hall, Subculture Arts Underground, Salmagundi Club, Temple Emanu-El) and Washington (Kennedy Center, Phillip’s Collection), on television (WTTW Chicago) and radio (‘From the Top’ programme on American public radio and a programme broadcast by WFMT radio of Chicago). At the Chicago Symphony Center, she performed Schubert’s Fantasy in F minor four-handed with Lang Lang. She has performed with the Daegu (South Korea), Montreal, Cleveland, Hilton Head, Evanston, Skokie Valley and Rochester orchestras.
