Diana Kacso

Winner of Sixth Prize in the 9th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (1975). She is a graduate of the Conservatório Brasileiro de Música. From 1972 to 1975, she lived in the United States, studying piano with Sascha Gorodnitzi at the Juilliard School of Music. Besides the Chopin Competition, she also won Third Prize in the Rio International Piano Competition (1973), Second Prize in the Arthur Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv (1977), Second Prize in the Leeds International Piano Competition (1978), First Prize in the Viña del Mar International Music Performance Competition (1978) and Second Prize in the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition (1982). She has performed throughout the Americas and recorded for radio and television.
